About this Training Course
In the ever-evolving landscape of the oil and gas industry, well integrity management has become a critical focus area. Poor well integrity has cost operators billions of dollars worldwide, and with volatile oil prices and slim margins, the risks associated with well integrity issues are more pronounced than ever.
This intensive 5-day advanced course is designed to deepen your knowledge of well integrity management and enhance your skills in designing, operating, and maintaining well equipment. The ultimate goal is to optimize productivity at the lowest Unit Operating Cost (UOC) while maintaining mechanical integrity throughout the well's life cycle.
The course approaches well integrity management in three distinct stages:
Well Integrity Management and Control: In this stage, participants learn about managing and controlling well integrity issues using specialized products, services, and techniques. This includes both reactive measures and preventive strategies.
Well Design: This stage covers material selection, engineering design, cement design, coating and inhibitors, and cathodic protection. Participants will learn how to integrate well integrity considerations from the very beginning of a well's life.
Well Monitoring: The course explores techniques for monitoring wells throughout their operational life, including methods for locating possible leaks and/or loss of metal. Emphasis is placed on proactive monitoring to prevent integrity issues.
