About this Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT)

This 2 half-day Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) course will guide participants on the technoeconomic aspects of capture, utilization and geological storage of carbon dioxide. The VILT course will address the methods and techniques used in the technoeconomic assessment of Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage (CCUS) projects. It will explore in detail the factors that affect the cost-effectiveness of current and emerging technologies for CO2 capture, transport and geological storage, including monitoring and verification. Given that the successful deployment of CCUS may require economic incentives, technical and economic drivers such as technological innovation, optimization, source sink matching and emerging opportunities will also be discussed. In addition, using several worked examples and case studies, this VILT course will explain the principles behind the analysis of the costs and opportunities of a CCS / CCUS project from source to sink and examines the possibilities of using carbon dioxide from an economic perspective.
