Gas wells are the most challenging part of gas production systems. Their performance must be monitored to validate and update the production forecast and reserves estimate, and to provide an early warning for significant changes in inflow or outflow. Also, their performance must be managed to review and mitigate threats of inflow and outflow, and to identify and mature remaining opportunities to boost production and reserves.
To monitor and manage gas well performance, you need to understand and model gas well inflow and outflow as function of well, reservoir and surface parameters, identify and model measures that can restore, sustain or improve inflow and outflow performance, and select and justify such measures based on technical and economic arguments.
This Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) not only serves the surveillance and capacity needs of existing gas wells but also the design requirements of new gas wells.
