About this Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT)

This 5 half-day Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) course aims to provide an understanding of the geometry and hydrocarbon potential of sandstone reservoirs, and how they are affected by such important features such as basin configuration, tectonics and eustasy. Each of the major sandstone environments will be covered in terms of lithology, facies, log response and reservoir quality and the process response models related to sequence stratigraphy and seismic sequences. Important basin scale diagenetic changes will be examined to illustrate the effect on reservoir quality. This VILT course will include extensive practical exercises. Virtual Reality field work is also included, allowing participants to make relevant field observations of an actual high resolution outcrop, understand processes and make conclusions on likely environment of deposition.
